Guacamole Monkey Doctor began as the Antithesis of normal music.  All our members had been masquerading as proper musicians, performing in Clubs and Lounges across America, spitting out 'crowd friendly' low brow pop crap for the 'fast-food' masses.  But deep inside us, and set in an abandoned factory, something new was brewing, something we've some to call Guacamole.

It really all came into focus on one nite.  Midnite approached, and having just spent several hours rehearsing mainstream cover garbage, a group of dis-illusioned souls gathered in a condemned building to vent a little steam.  What ensued led to the destruction of the very building itself, and from the debris, Guacamole Monkey Doctor was born.

Fusing elements of free-flow acid jazz / psycadelic rock with the wanton smashing and destroying of physical objects, we came to realize how much more our medium of 'sound as art' had to offer.  Forget 4 chord songs with twelve bar melodies, forget predicatable timing from traditional instruments.  There was a whole world of Sonics to expore, and most of it was waaay outside anything played on the radio, or sold in conventional music stores.

We're not claiming to be the first Experimental artists.  Psychos and Crazy innovators are churning out Noise bliss world wide.  And don't be naieve in thinging it began in the sixites either (Pierre Schaeffer was playing mad audio-scientist as far back as the Forties, and before him Symphonic Composers were utilizing such special effects as air-horn sirens mixed with live orchestras!)  In fact, we continuously search out the strange and bizarre.  But once unleased, none of us could ever play normal music again.  During solos and outros while performing with our "day" bands, harsh feedback, and effect stacking crept into our styles.  Before long we'd all either quit the 'day' band, or been kicked out for pissing off the audience. Everything was finally ontrack.

By the early years of 2000, we were honing our craft of Noise, and before long word had spread that we were the ones to seek out if you wanted to find musical freedom. Our late nite jam sessions that left ears bleeding became like a 'Fight Club' for musicians looking to break out from their molds of conformity.

Now, almost a decade later, we're continuing to crank out Guacamole, always uping the antee, always trying to out-do what we've previously done.  With the addition of one of todays fore-front Noise engineers, we've begun pushing the sonic envelope even further. (A few of our previous releases, not on this site, actually blew speakers right out of their frames!) So the quest to cram ever- increasing distortion and Noise into our tracks starts to shift towards Hi-Fi, utilizing some of the newest Digital and Analog tools available.

And to our fans, we thank you!  And to those who take the time to send us your distain, we thank you too!  Let's face it, most people can't stand listening to this genre of sound, but for the few to brave it, we salute you!  Even if you hate us!
